I specialize in taking photos of Falconry and Birds of Prey. I also do barrel racing and sporting dogs in action. I have had a passion for birds of prey, horses and sporting dogs for over 20 years.

As a falconer Matt Finch has had over 13 years of experience handling most western species of Birds of Prey. He's also been an educator of Raptors for over 11 years. His obsession of Raptors inspired him to capture the essence of what these animals are about. His photographs are of wild and captive animals in natural settings.

When not out photographing or working, he spends his spare time studying the biology of Raptors, Crocodilians, Ice Age Fauna, and Dinosaurs. He then also teaches what he knows in educational programs around the state. And volunteers teaching at the John Hutchings Museum of Natural History. He is a firm believer that one should never stop learning about what excites you. There is always something new and exciting to learn and teach.

As a photographer he continues to strive for perfection and to continue to learn and perfect his skills. He continues to search for those fun and quirky traits that sets individual animals apart. In his travels he uses his knowledge of the animals and skills as a falconer in getting close to animals in the wild. His style is uniquely his own and strives to capture the personality of the animals in his shots. He is also a longtime wildlife conservationist of 15 years. And hopes his knowledge and photographs may help in future wildlife conservation projects.
